Sonoma Valley Regional Park is in Sonoma Valley, near Glen Ellen. The 202-acre park features several miles of trails for dog-friendly hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. The Park offers the tranquility of a much larger preserve due the quality of habitat and surrounding open space.

The park’s main path is a paved, 1.2-mile trail that begins near a wetland and meadow, winds through magnificent oak woodlands and follows a seasonal creek.

Several unpaved trails on the hillsides and ridgetops offer looped hiking options. A beautiful 29-acre addition to the park’s northern boundary opened in May 2015, with a trail connection to the center of the park.

• Leashed dogs allowed on trails and in picnic areas
