This past Sunday September 20th DogTrekker enjoyed an unusually warm day in San Francisco made even more enjoyable because we were at Dogma. The event, hosted by the
San Francisco SPCA and
7x7 Magazine, brought out little and big dogs alike. With the temperature rising and the sun shining dogs and their uprights strolled through the booths, got advice and checked out some incredibly cute furry pals that were up for adoption.
The street party, in support of pet adoptions, took place in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley on Octavia Street between Hayes and Fell, and what a party it was. Hundreds of dogs brought their humans to check out the local companies, take part in the competitive talent contest, and say hello to their neighbors. We were on hand to meet and greet new DogTrekkers as well as catch up with current ones.

We saw many of our friends manning their booths and trying to keep their adoptables cool in the heat;
Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, the
San Francisco SPCA and
SaveABunny were all working overtime to find their furry attendees forever homes. On hand to offer treats and advice were
Pet Food Express, the
San Francisco Parks Alliance,
Wag Hotels and
Zipcar, as well as many other pawsome local companies.
Dogma is truly a San Francisco event promoting adoption of all pets and we were excited to be a part of it. If you missed Dogma but are still thinking of adopting a new friend head over to the
San Francisco SPCA or any of the incredible adoption agencies and meet their amazing furry residents who are just waiting for their new home.
