Tuolumne River Canyon Trail

Tuolumne River Canyon Trail

This moderate, six-mile trail follows the south side of the Tuolumne River to the confluence of the Clavey River and is well known for its spring wildflower displays. Be cautious during snowmelt season, when water levels rise and washouts are possible. Be on the lookout for wildife, particularly bald eagles and possibly river otters.

GETTING THERE:  From the Forest Service's Groveland field office, travel approximately 10 miles on Highway 120 to Ferretti Road and turn left. Take Lumsden Road off of Ferretti Road approximately 4.5 miles to the trailhead. The trailhead is a half mile downstream from the Lumsden Boat Launch.
