This venerable establishment in the rapidly gentrifying Mission Bay district was taken over in 2012 by Peter Osborne, the name behind MoMo's, Pete's Tavern and Pedro's Cantina, all in the shadow of nearby AT&T Park. Seafood is the focus here, and dishes are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat. Dogs are welcome on the rooftop deck, which is set about with umbrella-shaded tables and enjoys scenic views of the bay, a sailboat marina and the hulking shapes of ships in drydock.
Happy hour, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, offers 99-cent oysters and $5 draft beer. Sunday brunch is another great option.
