Dogs That Wine

Over the year we’ve tracked down many dog-friendly wineries that welcome canine companions on their grounds and, often, in their tasting rooms. Last year we themed an issue Sonoma Unleashed just to highlight some of our favorite vineyards and tasting rooms in that sprawling county. We also developed a Wine Road Northern Sonoma County itinerary to help you navigate the Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valley growing area.

The Highway 128 Wine Trail, which covers a scenic 55 miles from Cloverdale to the Mendocino County coast, got a similarly detailed itinerary treatment, as did the Sacramento Wine Region and River Road Wine Trail in Monterey County. Our Harvest A Paw-Friendly Adventure newsletter made many suggestions for a fun day in those regions.

After a full day of wine tasting it’s nice to snuggle up with your furry friend. We’ve pointed you to many dog-friendly spots such as, Nick’s Cove, Olema Inn, Cypress Inn and Stanford Inn by the Sea.
