Come enjoy a fun and scenic paddle event on the Petaluma River and estuary that promises to be relaxing and potentially exciting, for those that want to race!
This event will benefit Bergin University of Canine Studies and their service dogs. The event will include Paddleboarding and Kayaking and be appropriate for ages 3 to well into the senior years!
Dogs are welcome and encouraged - lessons for dogs and their owners will be provided in advance of the event.
This initiative is to raise funds aid Bergin with their training programs for service dogs. It is spearheaded by students in the Associate of Science program at Bergin.
On the day, participants may enjoy:

Refreshment from local businesses
Therapy and Service Dogs (from Bergin)
There is 4-mile race on the Petaluma River and a 2-mile recreational paddle in the Petaluma Estuary. The day will start at 9 a.m. with registration, and the first race at 10 a.m., followed by refreshments and activities, and an awards ceremony.
All participants must wear lifejackets and ankle leashes (if paddle boarding.) Rentals of all equipment are available through Petaluma Stand Up Paddle (petalumasup.com.)
