Get ready for one of the Bay Area’s most magical waterfront traditions. Each December, Sausalito’s harbor transforms into a twinkling holiday scene as dozens of boats cruise the shoreline decked in dazzling lights, festive décor, and plenty of seasonal cheer. It’s a stunning sight for humans and pups alike.
Bring your dog for a shoreline stroll along the Sausalito waterfront on Bridgeway or at Gabrielson Park, where you’ll have great views of the illuminated parade gliding across Richardson Bay. The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to take in all the sparkle.
Fireworks begin at 7:15, so we recommend departing with your dog before the display starts.
The Sausalito Police Department would like to remind dog owners that they are not allowed to let their dogs run loose in City parks and public spaces. The only exception is the Sausalito Dog Park adjacent to MLK Park.
