In a region with so many dog-friendly adventures, it’s only natural that lodging properties would roll out the red carpet for pups. In Redding, hotels, motels, B&Bs and RV parks offer thoughtful amenities ranging from water bowls to dog beds to menus for four-legged travelers. Best of all, these comfortable accommodations are just minutes from the trails, lakes, museums and restaurants that make this place so special.

Set near Redding’s famous icon, the Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge is a four-star gem. Sure, the hotel’s location is amazing—but the warm welcome extended to pups is even better. The on-site restaurant, Mosaic, has a dedicated dog menu (including frozen desserts for hot dogs), and the front desk offers a free guide to pet-friendly adventures.

The Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn is another top spot for furry friends. More than half of the hotel’s rooms are pet-friendly, and the property welcomes up to two dogs per room (pups must be 80 pounds or less). Pet fees are an affordable $30 per night.

Other Redding properties, including the Red Lion Inn and La Quinta Inn & Suites, also accommodate dogs. As always, call ahead to confirm rules, fees and room availability.
