Some of the dogs who land at GGLRR were found as strays or come from bad situations. Young Lab/border collie mix Titus wandered the streets of Madera before being rescued; Silicon Valley girl Bailey, a 1-year-old chocolate Lab, was in a stairwell at Intel, but nobody claimed her. Others, especially the seniors, have had long and happy lives with the same people, but a job loss or family tragedy can change everything.
That's Shiloh's story. This 8-year-old chocolate Lab is hoping for a new person to love after her owner, who'd had her since she was 8 weeks old, passed away. She's doing well in her foster home, where she's practicing her obedience skills; she's currently living with another dog but would probably prefer a human all her own, an arrangement she thrived in most of her life. Plan on sharing an active lifestyle with this energetic girl—but also plan on plenty of snuggling, as she likes nothing better than to curl up on the couch with her person. Sound perfect?
