The San Francisco-based nonprofit organization, Muttville is dedicated to changing the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs, and to creating better lives for senior dogs through rescue, foster, adoption and hospice.
The Cable News Network CNN recently named Sherri Franklin, founder and executive director of Muttville, a CNN Hero as a part of their ongoing series that spotlights "everyday people making a difference."
CNN chose 25 people as their 2016 CNN Heroes. Sherri Franklin was selected as one of the 25. Now she's been chosen for the top ten.
