July 19—Dog Day At the Park, Oakland A’s Coliseum. This seventh annual event is expected to attract hundreds of canine fans for a Pup Rally and parade preceding a 7 p.m. slugfest against the New York Yankees. Online registration of dogs and purchase of tickets is required, so get barking!

July 21—Paw Prints Dog Walk-A-Thon, McInnis Park, San Rafael. Register online and get your own personal fundraising page to help spread the word about this fun-packed morning featuring a 1.7-mile walk along Bay wetlands followed by a litter of canine activities benefiting Marin Humane.

July 21—Bark for Life, Crissy Field, San Francisco. This noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their people raises funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. Register online or on the day of the event, which also includes canine demonstrations, contests and games.

July 22—Dog Day on the Bay, Pier 3, San Francisco. Dogs cruise free with their owners on Hornblower Cruises’ annual fundraiser for the San Francisco SPCA. Participating pups get a bow-wow buffet; owners get one with people food and sparkling wine. The event is held on the San Francisco Belle, Hornblower’s largest vessel. All paws on the poop deck!

July 29—Bay to Barkers, Golden Gate Fields, Albany. This annual fundraiser for the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society centers around a one-mile dog walk along the waterfront and concludes with a pet festival featuring booths, games, contests and craft activities for the whole family (including dogs, of course).
