East Bay SPCA Carries On
While some of the East Bay SPCA’s programs and services have been suspended due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, they have not stopped serving their community.

Animal Care

Many animals are living in foster homes, where all supplies are provided by the East Bay SPCA. They continue to accept stray animals including neonatal kittens, owner surrenders from families who have experienced a change in life circumstances, and they are transferring animals from their municipal partners as needed.

Adoptions

To comply with social distancing guidelines, the East Bay SPCA have created a new “matchmaking” adoption process to find homes for animals in their care.

Veterinary Clinic

Their full-service veterinary clinic remains open for appointments and has extended hours to Saturdays.

Behavior & Training

East Bay SPCA's classes have moved to an online format to provide behavior and training courses. They are also offering free resources about common behavior questions.

Humane Advocacy

East Bay SPCA continues to assist responsible pet owners facing financial challenges by providing access to free or discounted veterinary care, temporary pet boarding for those in crisis, and free pet food.

Humane Education

They have provided free resources to parents to engage their children in California standards-based education while sheltering in place.

The East Bay SPCA has been a vital resource for their community for nearly 150 years and are committed to being here now and well into the future. Monetary donations remain their more urgent need. Any amount you can contribute will help them continue to serve animals and people in the East Bay.
