Founded in 1993, Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary is an animal rescue group dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of homeless and abused animals throughout the Sacramento area.

Happy Tails has cared for many types of animals — cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, etc. Although cats make up the great majority of adoptions, it is not strictly a cats-only organization.
