Kidd Lake Campground

Kidd Lake Campground

Kidd Lake Campground, operated by PG&E for water storage and hydroelectric power, is a well maintained group facility on a small lake with an island in the middle.

It’s a great place for families or friends to make base camp. The lake level is raised and lowered daily for power generation purposes, so the shoreline is sometimes muddy.

Long Lake, a natural lake with crystal-clear water, is just one of many beautiful destinations within hiking distance. Pit toilets, no showers. Lots of shade, group-size barbecue grills. This campground fills up fast, so make reservations for summer months in advance.

• Pets are allowed for a minimal fee.
• They must have a current rabies vaccination and be on a leash at all times.
• You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets.
