Stonewall Panoramic Trail (Length 1.6 mi, Climbing 700 ft)

Claremont Canyon has one trail, a short, steep hike that climbs to one of the best views in the Berkeley Hills. There are a lot of scenic views in the area, but this one is especially good because it's high, yet it's also close to the urbanized flatlands of Berkeley and Oakland.

The section of trail described here is by far the most popular part of the park, but the trail connects to a network of official and unofficial trails on the UC Berkeley campus.

Oakland Map
Dog-loving residents of Oakland have it all: tons of bars and restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating; an overall welcoming attitude toward canines; and a wealth of open-space trails, many of which don’t require leashes away from developed areas. The city also has a hip, dog-friendly place to stay in the Waterfront Hotel in the heart of the vibrant Jack London Square dining, shopping and entertainment district. more »
