Battle lines have been drawn and leash wars are being fought in several Northern California regions, most recently in response to dog management plans now under consideration in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area and the East Bay Regional Park District, In both jurisdictions, dog lovers are at risk of losing privileges at major off-leash and on-leash areas where Northern California residents have long enjoyed walking and hiking with their pets.
