Privacy policy
DogTrekker, Inc. (“DogTrekker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website dogtrekker.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit the Site.
The short version
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing. The only people who see your data are the DogTrekker team and our technology contractor, North and Vine LLC, who manages the site and its data systems on our behalf. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Site. That’s it.
Information you provide
Some features ask for your name and email address — for example, our newsletter signup or our AI travel guide chat. You can always review or request changes to your personal information by emailing team@dogtrekker.com. You can also refuse to supply personal information, though some features may not work without it.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we collect standard usage data: your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site. We use this to improve the site and understand what content is useful to visitors.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for essential site functions (like remembering your preferences), for analytics via Google Analytics (GA4), and for serving advertisements via Google Ad Manager. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not work properly without them.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services on the Site:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Ad Manager — to serve display advertisements.
- Cloudflare — for security and performance. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Google Maps — for interactive maps on location pages.
Who has access to your data
Your data is accessed only by the DogTrekker team and our technology contractor, North and Vine LLC, who builds and manages the Site on our behalf. We do not provide, sell, or trade your personal information to any other company or individual.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Site, deliver content and recommendations relevant to your interests, send newsletters and travel updates (which you can opt out of at any time), and serve advertisements. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message or by emailing team@dogtrekker.com.
