Afghan Hound Rescue of So. California, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established in 2000 and staffed entirely by volunteers. Their mission is to rescue stray, abandoned, relinquished and/or impounded Afghan Hounds.
Since sight hounds in general and Afghan Hounds in particular, do not cope well in shelter and kennel environments, dogs are placed in loving foster homes where their health and temperaments are evaluated. The dogs are then matched to appropriate new homes.
