Lost Trail Lodge

Situated on the Coldstream Trail about six miles northwest of Palisades Tahoe and four and a half miles northeast of Truckee, this backcountry establishment offers modern amenities in a wilderness atmosphere. Four guest bedrooms, all with baths, open onto a common area with shared kitchen. There's also a free-standing cabin without bath.

Getting here is part of the adventure. In summer, guests with high-clearance vehicles can drive to the lodge or hike or bike the four miles from the winter parking lot. In winter, guests must cross-country ski, skin or snowshoe to the lodge.

Dogs are welcome to accompany you but must stay outside or in your cabin, as the health department doesn't allow them in eating areas.
