Dog-gone Great Giving

By: DogTrekker Staff

In the spirit of holiday giving, salutes its newest partner, Zuke’s, a company dedicated to “fueling the love” through natural, made-in-the-USA treats for dogs and cats. Zuke’s will be sponsoring our Vet Buzz column and pages in 2014, enabling us to continue to provide the latest news, tips, advice, warnings and advances in medical and holistic treatments for your pets.

Zuke’s treats are made from the finest ingredients to help keep pets healthy and performing at their very best. From Skinny Bakes for dogs on a diet to Power Bones for active pups to grain-free treats for the allergy-prone, Zuke’s treats make great stocking-stuffers for Fido and Fido’s friends. And when you purchase them, you’re also supporting a greater good.

As part of the company’s philosophy of giving back, Zuke’s donates a portion of sales—more than $175,000 so far—to the nonprofit Dog and Cat Cancer Fund, an organization created by Zuke's founder, Pat Meiering, and his brother, Chris, after their childhood dog (and, more recently, the company’s namesake canine) succumbed to cancer. The organization works directly with veterinarians to fund research, promote prevention and help needy families get treatment for their pets.

DogTrekker welcomes Zuke’s aboard, appreciates its support and looks forward to continuing and enhancing our Vet Buzz pages.
