Continuing its commitment to support projects and programs that promote animal welfare, reduce suffering, and save lives, the Marin Humane Society is bringing The Animal Film Festival on Tour to Novato.

Taking place at the Marin Humane Society auditorium, the event features award-winning films from the 2016 Animal Film Festival which took place earlier this year in Grass Valley, California.

The powerful program includes:
• David & Goliath, a Global Audience Award winner at the Manhattan Fest and Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival
• You’ve Got a Friend in Me, a touching film about a young man and his friend, a turkey, who spend a sunny day doing fun things together in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania
• The Ethics of Diet, a one-minute film about the effects of food choices
• Spay & Neuter PSA which is set in the black & white era of the 1950's as a suburban housewife learns the importance of spaying and neutering
• Free Lolita tells the story of a captive orca at the Miami Seaquarium and the efforts to release her to a sanctuary
• Finding Shelter which follows the Rowles family who pack up their lives in the United Kingdom, move to a small town in Bulgaria for a quiet life, where instead, they open a dog shelter and transform the community
• You Don’t Know Jack a film by the Marin Humane Society
