Celebrating the Pawsitively Incredible Science of Dogs!

Dogs are performing feats of amazing science every day. Join in to celebrate our furry best friends and their people at the Chabot Space & Science Center Dog Days of Summer Festival.

Delight and explore the science around the things that dogs do and love; from training, sleeping, and exercise, to play and nutrition.

Be inspired with demos and activities that include, keynote speaker Dr. Gary Richter of Holistic Veterinary Care, demos from the Canine Circus School, Bernese Mountain dog drafting, plus a doggie spa, pet portraits, fashion show and raffles! Get ready for a day of doggone fun!

Planning on bringing your pooch?  Please note, all waiver forms must be signed before your dog can join the fun! Also, the planetarium and main exhibit spaces will be "dog-free" areas on the event day. If you plan to see shows, you are advised to not bring your dog to the Center. Dogs will not be permitted to be left in cars.

Dog-Friendly Hike
Saturday, August 8 4:30 - 6 p.m.
Spend some time with your furry friend on an easy 2-3 mile hike in the beautiful redwoods. Meet other dog owners and learn about the local flora and fauna.  Reservations encouraged!
