Dog Beach signOur Chief Operating Dog, Director of Barketing and Research Lab, Kayla, recently visited Huntington Beach (aka Surf City, USA) and is still barking about it.

Surf City is roughly 35 miles south of Los Angeles in beautiful Orange County and is one of the most dog-friendly towns in California.

Home to the annual Surf City Surf Dog competition and the Corgi Nation Beach Day, Dog Beach is one of the largest dog beaches in the country.

It is located on the main city beach on Pacific Coast Highway between Golden West Street and Seapoint Street. Entrance to the beach is free and is open daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Kayla had a great time meeting other dogs on the sand and in the surf, and finishing off the day watching a sensational West Coast sunset.

When she was ready to rest her paws for the night, she chose the hip, luxurious Shorebreak Hotel, a Kimpton Hotels property.

She opted-in for the Pamper Your Pooch Package, which included a bone, dog toy, waste bags, pet bowl, squeaker tennis ball and a $25 credit to use in the outdoor patio of on-premise Zimzala Restaurant—a great spot for people and dog watching.
