Your pooch is welcome to join you on a self-guided river rafting adventure, but management asks that Fido doesn't keep going in and out of the raft constantly because their nails can damage the raft. Enjoy a two- to three-hour leisurely, self guided, five-mile float on the Truckee River from Tahoe City to the River Ranch Resort (sorry, no dogs allowed at the popular patio restaurant here). From there you can catch a free shuttle bus back to your car any time until 6 p.m. daily.
