The Sacramento SPCA is among organizations working many angles this holiday season in an effort to raise funds and find loving homes for the animals in its temporary care. It’s “Fleas Navidad” adoption program, running Nov. 27-Dec. 23, offers half-price adoption fees on adult animals, and every pet adopted goes home with a goody bag that includes Advantage flea preventative from sponsor Bayer Animal Health and a gift from the Container Store, which opened a new retail outlet this month in Sacramento.
This proactive SPCA also is offering an array of holiday-themed gifts ranging from greeting cards, log-wear and calendars to personalized bricks, tiles or cards for display at the SPCA adoption center. Another way to help: donate to or shop at the SPCA Thrift Store at 1517 E Street in Midtown Sac.
