Since 1982, North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST has brought our mountain community together for 10 unforgettable days of fun, friends, and winter celebration. What started as a local gathering has grown into the largest winter mountain festival on the West Coast, still powered entirely by volunteers, local businesses, and Tahoe pride.
Each year, more than 50 events fill the calendar, from family-friendly snow play and pancake breakfasts to ski town nightlife and the legendary Gar Woods kickoff party. The longtime parade tradition now continues as our lively Street Faire, keeping that same Tahoe energy and community spirit alive. Whether you’re a first-timer or a longtime local, you’ll find something to love and plenty of reasons to wear your beads.
SNOWFEST isn’t just about having a good time. It’s about giving back. Every event helps raise funds for local nonprofits, student scholarships, and community programs that make Tahoe such a special place to live and visit. Learn how SNOWFEST Fundraising supports local non profit organizations.
Join us for the 44th annual North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST and celebrate everything we love about winter in the mountains.
Many of the events are held outdoors and welcome well-behaved dogs.
