Engage with Concord’s creative side

Graphic list of dog-friendly Concord mural locations

Concord’s newest, most colorful attractions anchor the downtown corridor. Nine professional muralists participated in Creative Concord events, and they outfitted buildings in eye-catching murals that cover an array of styles and themes. Most of the artwork is within blocks of Todos Santos Plaza, so it’s easy to pick up a mural map and plan a leisurely sightseeing adventure. You’ll also find several dog-friendly dining options along the way.

Start your adventure by downloading the Downtown Mural Tour map, or stop by the Concord Visitors Center for a paper copy. (While you’re there, don’t miss the gallery wall displayed by the Concord Art Association.) The visitor center is across from Todos Santos Plaza, and eight murals are within a three-block radius.

Want to pair your art experience with a local pint? Swing by Side Gate Brewery & Beer Garden. Two Bay Area friends launched this lively spot, and they’ve gained a loyal following for tasty ales, lagers and seltzers brewed on site. Food trucks often serve here, or you can bring in meals from neighboring restaurants. There’s a spacious, family-friendly patio and dogs are always welcome.
