Thylenanti Trail, Lagoon Tower Road and Jepson Loop Trail connect to make a dog-friendly loop trail in Vacaville’s Pena Adobe/Lagoon Valley Park. The loop is about 6 miles long and is rated moderately difficult. This is a popular trail that can be crowded with other hikers, bikers and dogs, particularly on weekends. Dogs must be leashed and there is a fee to park.
The trail begins from the first parking lot before the dog park, and loops around the park. There is little shade and you may pass cows grazing on this route, so head out early during warm months, bring water for your pup and follow leash laws.
