Rancho Cordova: A beer-lovers destination!

By: DogTrekker Staff
A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

Rancho Cordova, a suburban community on Highway 50 about 15 miles east of downtown Sacramento, is a great jumping-off place for forays into the Sierra foothills, as well as a beer lover’s destination in itself. It is the home of the Barrel District, a collection of 6 breweries, 2 distilleries, and a wine bar.

Some of our favorite places to bring well-behaved dogs include J.J. Pfister Distilling Co. for craft spirits, Shorebirds Brewing Co. for hard kombucha soft serve, and Burning Barrel Brewing Co. for a great range of beers. More into the vino? Drink Eezy’s wine-tasting room is a great option, or you can head to the Sierra Foothills to explore even more nearby wineries across the lush landscape of Northern California.
