Wednesday Woofable: The Treasure Island Flea

Treasure Island Flea

I admit it, I am always looking for new places to do a little shopping on the weekends.  Well, this Wednesday Woofable involves two of my favorite things, my dog and shopping! The Treasure Island Flea is Saturday and Sunday (January 26 and 27) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it's dog friendly.

The flea has moved indoors for the winter months but still welcomes well-behaved dogs on leashes. In fact, the Treasure Island Flea is so dog-friendly they offer pooch pit stops throughout the show where your furry friend can stop and grab a sip of water or a dog biscuit.  In addition to the dog you bring with you, there will also be several rescue organizations that have booth space at the flea just for adoptions. So stop by and see who’s looking for a forever home.

Now, this is not your average run of the mill Flea, this is the Treasure Island Flea so you can expect to find upscale and handmade products that cater to the canine persuasion. There are vendors selling custom beds made from up-cycled ship wood, organic, locally made, food and biscuits, handmade designer dog coats and more. With hundreds of local vendors in attendance I have no doubt you will find something for Fido and yourself. On top of the awesome vendors there will be DIY workshops, food trucks galore and live music.

All in all I think the Treasure Island Flea is the place to be this weekend. I’m going, are you?
