Park for free at Commons Beach Park and follow the Tahoe City Lakeside Trail along the water, or wander the Palisades Tahoe Bike Path between the ski area and Highway 89 turnoff. The Trout Creek Trail links Tahoe Donner with downtown Truckee, while the Truckee River Legacy Trail passes by the ice rink at Truckee River Regional Park.
