Pets without partners

Every Saturday morning at PetSmart in Redding, a dedicated band of volunteers converge with a bevy of foster dogs in search of their forever families. Pets Without Partners doesn’t have a shelter, but thanks to hardworking, knowledgeable volunteers, trainers, and fosters, as well as enthusiastic community support, they save hundreds of dogs and cats each year who would otherwise perish in overcrowded, underfunded shelters in the area.

Among the dogs in search of a forever family is Woody, aka Woodson, a 7-year-old rat terrier who lost his home when his human passed away. Woody loves to snuggle and play with his toys, he's great with children, and gets good reports on his house manners. He's hoping for a happy life with people who can spend a lot of time with him: A retired person? Somebody who works at home? A family with older kids and a yard? A DogTrekker?

A little guy who always thinks he's the biggest dog in the room, Woody does best as an only dog. He thinks chasing cats is lots of fun, so probably no kitties for this boy. He's looking forward to sharing good times with his new BFF; if that's you, send a message to adopt@petswithoutpartners.org.
