Golden gate labrador retriever rescue

Yellow lab at Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue

Recently, the good folks at Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue noticed that a growing number of the dogs who needed them came with health issues that were treatable, but often pricey. They also were encountering many elderly Labs who suddenly found themselves homeless and facing a bleak future due to their people's life changes. GGLRR responded by launching a Special Needs/Senior Fund, dedicated to getting these deserving critters into safe, loving homes where they can be happy, healthy and part of the family again.

Currently looking for a place to spend his golden years is the lovely Harley, who is 11 years old, in excellent health, and ready for fun. This yellow Lab boy loves to be your constant companion, rides nicely in the car, and gets along well with other dogs, as well as the kids in his previous home. He's ready to accompany you on your summer hikes, and if there's a swim along the way, even better. When it's time to go home, he's ready to curl up with you on the couch and soak up the love. Harley is is in Palo Alto waiting to meet you—get his details here.

An all-volunteer group, GGLRR is always looking for foster homes to provide a haven for Labs and Lab mixes who find themselves in a fix and need a safe place to land. If you've got room in your heart and home for one of these lovable waifs, their rescuers would love to hear from you.
