Rooted in the region’s logging and fishing industries, Noyo Harbor Inn is an Arts and Crafts treasure framed by trees, gardens and sweeping river views. Historic rooms have been beautifully updated for modern travelers, and pets are welcome in half of the property’s luxurious accommodations. The inn maintains park-like outdoor spaces for dog walking, with more coastal adventures just a short stroll away.

In 1868, a lumber entrepreneur built the home and lodge that set the stage for today’s Noyo Harbor Inn. A fishing village later grew up along the nearby waterfront, which became a busy vacation destination by the early 1900s. Scandinavian shipwrights worked on the gorgeous redwood panels and board-and-batten detailing that now distinguish the inn.

Original architecture sets a pretty backdrop in several dog-friendly Noyo Harbor Inn rooms, while wood floors keep things clean and comfortable for canine guests. King and queen accommodations have private patios or balconies with garden, harbor or river views. Rooms also feature gas fireplaces, spacious soaking tubs, high-speed Wi-Fi and other cozy amenities.

Pets and people can wander the inn’s naturally beautiful grounds or burn off some energy while sightseeing around the harbor. It takes about 20 minutes to walk between Noyo Harbor Inn and the off-leash beach along Noyo Bay. Further afield, Mendocino County has plenty of pet-friendly parks, coastal paths, canoe routes and other activities.
