The Barbary Coast Trail is a San Francisco walking tour that connects the City’s most important historic sites, drawing you into a world of gold seekers and railroad barons, writers and visionaries, shanghiers and silver kings.
The southern end of the Barbary Coast Trail begins at the Old U.S. Mint in the heart of downtown. From there it heads north, weaving its way through San Francisco’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods to Aquatic Park.
There are three ways to walk the trail: downloadable audio tour, printed guides (at San Francisco Book Stores or by mail order), or as a guided tour with trail creator Daniel Bacon.
