Black Sheep Winery opened in 1984, and features small releases of wine handcrafted from high quality grapes grown in Calaveras, and Amador Counties.
Their wines are styled in a big, bold way like nobody else can do. That's what makes them Black Sheep; They are different from the rest of the flock.
They specialize in Zinfandels, but also producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and a second label they call True Frogs Lily Pad Wines. This wine pays homage to their jumping frog heritage here in Calaveras County.
They look forward to seeing you and your pooch in the tasting room on Main Street, Murphys!
Please help to keep the grounds beautiful by picking up after your dogs.
