Cabana Winery & Bistro is an urban winery and restaurant in the East Sacramento neighborhood. Two large patio areas, one in front of the main building and a larger one behind, welcome DogTrekkers with lots of water bowls set about.
Vintner Robert Smerling, formerly of Renwood Winery in Amador County, has been making wine for more than 20 years. Cabana's current offerings include eight varietals and blends, with some 50 other wines from around the world on its bistro wine list.
The bistro menu includes gourmet appetizers, salads, panini's and daily specials. In summer, the winery draws crowds with live music on the back patio.
