Cayucos State Beach

Cayucos State Beach

Cayucos State Beach is known for its beauty, fishing pier and historical buildings. Many of the buildings left over from the prospering old town still stand as a variety of shops such as restaurants, antique stores, and specialty items.

Picnic tables, play equipment, restrooms and outside showers are available. The pier is lit for night fishing and a fishing license is not required while fishing on the pier.

The sandy beach offers mild weather, water sports such as surfing and swimming, and tide-pooling. Dogs must be leashed when they’re on Cayucos State Beach.

Right next to it is what the locals call Dog Beach, where dogs can run and play off-leash. Just be sure that your dog is under voice command at all times.

A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.
