Whether you’re picking up some sweets for yourself or a tasty snack for your pup, this charming shop is a must-visit in Carmel-by-the-Sea
The Cottage of Sweets is such a charming building that one might think it was originally designed as a sweet shop. However, the building was actually built in 1922 on Dolores Street and later relocated to Ocean Avenue. Logs were used to roll the building to its new home in 1923, when the Court of the Golden Bough was designed and constructed by Ted Kuster. The shop’s unique history adds to its magical atmosphere, making it even more special for visitors and their pups.
