Crystal Lake Trail is a scenic 3.2-mile out-and-back hike with stunning panoramic views of Mammoth Lakes Basin. The dog-friendly trail leads to a fork where you can choose to hike to Crystal Lake or Mammoth Crest about a mile in. With a climb at the start of the trail, this hike is rated moderately difficult and is rocky in some areas.
The spectacular scenery and views make this one of the most popular trails in Inyo National Forest, so arrive early to ensure parking is available.
