David Girard Vineyards is nestled in the Sierra foothills near where the south fork of the American River gave up its gold in 1849.
At an elevation of some 1,200 feet soil, temperature and conditions combine to provide an environment ideally suited to growing the premier grape varietals of southern France's Rhône valley.
David Girard Vineyards is a family enterprise—dogs are welcome but are required to remain on a leash at all times and under the direct supervision of an adult.
Please note that depending on tasting room traffic, the team at David Girard may not be able to serve you at your picnic site and will require you to come into the tasting room for each pouring.
All guests to David Girard Vineyards are strongly encouraged to make an advance reservation.
*Tastings by appointment.
Please check winery website for days and hours of operation.
