Doheny State Beach is located in the city of Dana Point, California and is one of California’s most popular state beaches and attracts almost one million visitors annually. are permitted in the campground and day-use / picnic area only. Dogs are not allowed on the beach at any time. When camping, dogs must be contained in a vehicle or tent overnight. During the day, dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and accompanied by their owner at all times.
Doheny has a day-use surfing beach at its northern end and a five-acre lawn with picnic facilities and volleyball courts.
