Gateway Oaks Trail

Dog-friendly Gateway Oaks Trail offers hikers an easy jaunt on a 3.5-mile out-and-back trail in Sacramento, California. The trail connects Natomas Oak Park and Peregrine Park as it parallels the river. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

If you’d like to let Fido run free, extend your trek by taking a detour off the path into Manuel J. Barandas Park. Here you’ll find a fully fenced off-leash dog park, Barandas Park.
