Lewis Campground

Lewis Campground is located on the north shore of French Meadows Reservoir at an elevation of 5,300 feet. This campground has 40 sites with tables and grills in a coniferous forest. There are toilets and potable water, as well as a boat launch. Activities include fishing, swimming, boating, picnicking, hiking and viewing scenery.

Bear proof food boxes are available at Lewis Campground. There is a concrete boat launching ramp and trailer dump station nearby. The campground is also near the Granite Chief Wilderness (please note that dogs are not allowed from May 15 -July 15 in deer fawning areas of Granite Chief Wilderness) and has access to the Western States Trail.

Directions from Foresthill: Travel 36 miles east on Mosquito Ridge Road (forest road 96) and proceed to campground. The campground is located on the north shore of the reservoir.
