The Moorten Botanical Garden “living museum of desert lore” was established in 1938 and has been wowing plant-lovers ever since.
The private arboretum’s collection includes more than 3,000 desert plants in concentrated habitats along a natural trail. Rare plants are displayed in what is billed as the world’s first cactarium. Petrified wood and dinosaur fossils also are on display.
Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome to accompany you on trails through the garden.
