Oceano Dunes State Park offers a unique outdoor experience where sandy beaches meet rolling dunes. Visitors should keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after them to ensure the beach remains enjoyable for everyone, and keep on leash.

Areas open to the public are reduced during the March-September snowy plover nesting season, but the scene nevertheless can be crowded.

Oceano Dunes is three miles south of Pismo Beach and about 12 miles south of San Luis Obispo.
