OCSPCA began in 1984 as a small group of dedicated animal lovers in Orange County coming together to form an organization dedicated to helping Orange County residents and animals. In 1987, they were granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and the Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OCSPCA) was born.
In 2019, the organization changed its name to Orange County Animal Allies to reflect its unique position in the animal welfare space and to more accurately convey their mission and vision.
Today, OC Animal Allies provides solutions for spay and neuter, emergency financial support, education and other resources. Their programs bring hope to Orange County pet owners who often have nowhere else to turn for help.
