Pescatore Vineyard is a dog-friendly winery located just minutes from downtown Newcastle in Placer County. The family-owned estate features 15 acres of beauty and tranquility.
The estate grows and bottles its wine on the property, offering a selection of Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah and Petite Sirah. The 2500 vines, primarily purchased from Duarte Nursery in Lodi, are thriving. The decomposed granite in this area, along with the rolling foothills, provide an ideal Rhone-style environment.
Not only is the wine “growing into its own” and quite good, but the atmosphere is also lovely. There are the soothing sounds of nearby Auburn Ravine Creek as well as other details unique to this winery, such as the grape-cluster-enhanced wrought iron railing on the balcony to the view of the rolling hills.
Pescatore Vineyard is a perfect place for wine sampling, small group tours or other special occasions.
