Park at the Sherwins Trailhead, then take the gravel/dirt road that heads west past Kerry Meadow toward the iconic Mammoth Rock and the broad the Sherwins Meadow.
Although you rarely meet vehicles on this road, be aware that cars and bikes are allowed. When you get to Kerry Meadow, run sprints with your dog to tire him out and then plop down on the side of the road for a few minutes of relaxation before heading back to the car.
