Silicon Valley Pet Project (SVPP) is a nonprofit organization of volunteers committed to saving local at-risk shelter pets through rescue, community involvement and education.
The SVPP board is a group of like-minded professionals with the passion and motivation to save pets from our municipal shelter, San Jose Animal Care Center.
Its mission is to create a new kind of animal rescue organization – one that will have a large impact on local shelter pets, one that engages and educates the community in new ways, and one that applies sustainable business practices so that the organization will last for years to come.
Inspired by Best Friends Animal Society and Austin Pets Alive and their best practices, Silicon Valley Pet Project was founded in 2014.
